Seed Granola

Seed Granola

Homemade granola is cheaper, healthier, and tastier than the store-bought variety. You have the ability to experiment freely, and get to be in complete control over how much sweetener is added, if any. Granola is endlessly customisable to your taste, and doesn’t even have to strictly be a breakfast food. We love sprinkling some on salad or bringing a small jar with us for a snack while traveling.

  • 1 Cup Sunflower Seeds

  • 1 Cup Pumpkin Seeds

  • 1 Cup Flax Seeds

  • 1 Cup Puffed Quinoa

  • 1 Cup Coconut Flakes

  • 1 Cup Raisins

  • ½Cup Coconut Oil

  • Cinnamon

  • Ginger

  1. Preheat the oven to 150ºC (300ºF).

  2. Mix together all the dry ingredients in a large bowl, saving the raisins for after baking.

  3. Melt the coconut oil and pour over the seeded mix.

  4. Add spices and stir to combine.

  5. Spread your seed mix out on a baking tray.

  6. Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure an even bake.

  7. Allow to cool before adding the raisins and storing in an airtight container.
